Lovely antique GOKRA brown synthetic plush teddy bear - 1940's

This listing is for a lovely antique brown color Gokra teddy bear. He has a working growler, not so strong but still is working. He is about 22,8” (58cm) tall, he has jointed arms, legs and head and closed mouth. The tear dropped front claws are characsteristic of a certain German company called Gokra. They were formed in 1945, the founder was Gottfried Kraeber. The body is firmly stuffed with excelsior and it is a cardboard inserts in the feet allow for this stability. The velour fabric is soft and velvety, and is referred to as a synthetic plush.The nose is done in gray color cord, with horizontal stitches. Teddy is five way jointed and very firm.
Gottfried Kraeber was a teddy bear manufacturer and made teddy bears from 1945 to 1952 (a short 7 years period) when the production was closed.

In very good condition and rare to find.
